SPEAKING

A storyteller at heart, Andrea’s vulnerability, humour and authenticity magically empowers both teams and individuals.

A storyteller at heart, Andrea takes her unique professional and educational path, intersecting community building and sociology, and weaves a beautiful tale about belonging, whether it be with colleagues, peers, friends and family or most importantly, yourself. Fighting the powerful perceptions of others, Andrea shares how she overcame the heavy weight of assumptions, stigma, and shame to discover and value the authentic person beyond the personas others created for her. Andrea allows others to see how it’s possible to discover their own value whether it be as an underdog in the boxing ring, an outlier in the boardroom, or an intrapreneur, turned entrepreneur, pursuing passions that are closest to her heart. Andrea gently but humorously bursts the bubble on many false notions of our societal norms (that are anything but "normal") and shows how by standing out you can paradoxically learn to “fit” in.  After spending 25 years in a homebuilding industry, where she did not in fact feel at home, she shares how she embarked on the journey to find it within herself, and how you can too.

Through her vulnerability and courage, Andrea's storytelling magically inspires the right amount of self- contemplation, inspiration and jubilation. She will take you from laughter to tears and back again.

Her audiences vary from C-suites, Human Resources, Non Profits and Education. Andrea covers a wide range of topics including community building, mental health, recovery, neurodiversity, diversity and inclusion, grief (early childhood loss) and parenting.  She leaves her audience with a winning formula of energy and actionable takeaways and she has a unique knack for consistently bringing it home!

It’s easy to feel like you’ve lost your voice when you’re around people that don’t want to hear it. Fortunately mine wasn’t lost. It was merely muffled. Not because I wasn’t speaking loudly or clearly enough.  But because of all the debris, rubble and dirt that other people laid on top of it. I’ve cleared all that away. And now I’m ready to use it. For good.
